“My background profession is commercial art such as illustration, murals and faux finishes. I am now painting my personal vision and prefer oil paint and traditional materials. I paint directly from life.
My plein air landscapes are rural scenes of local genre. Along with the Utah landscape I like to portray manmade structures, abandoned objects and an occasionally figures. My still life subjects are made up of organic, historical and found objects arranged and lit to enhance their abstract qualities and contrast. I look for subtle, surprising color and reflections.”
