Anne Becker

Anne Becker has a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the University of Utah.  She paints both man made and natural landscapes, focusing on the shapes and colors that impress her the most. She paints from life sometimes, but prefers to paint from memory, allowing her mind to filter out the details and to only paint what remains with her of the place to which she is referring. Anne paints in oil and acrylic and often uses collage to add texture and dimension, as well as to invoke simplicity and clarity in the image.

As a student at the University of Utah, Anne was honored with the Howard Clark scholarship and went on to participate in a two person   show and a larger group show at pARTnership Gallery.  She has since shown her work at the Cottonwood Country Club and at the Art at the Main Gallery in Salt Lake City.
